Ginkgo (Ginkgo biloba L.) is a genus of Ginkgo in the Ginkgo family. Ginkgo is a rare species of Mesozoic relics, a Chinese specialty, born in natural forests at 500-1000 meters above sea level, in acidic (pH 5-5.5) loamy, well-drained areas, often mixed with willow fir, botanical trees, blue fruit trees and other coniferous species, growing vigorously. It is cultivated in the gardens of Korea, Japan, Europe and America.
